"Shut up kid and keep swimming!"
So goes an old joke I remember from when I was just a little older than Sienna. Fortunately, we're not swimming but that would be healthier than the cattle class trek we're taking across the Pacific.
Interviewed before departure, I ask Sienna about her impending trip...
What did she think the US would be like? "I think it will be magical with fairies."
Is there anything you are scared about? (I ask this because last time that Sienna flew, she got sore ears when we were landing.) "I don't think so." But later, she did admit she was a little bit scared. She doesn't seem too worried. The excitement has counteracted her fears.
Is there anything else you're looking forward to apart from the Disneyland fairies? "I'm looking forward to playing with the two boys." This is Ian and Sebastian who we are staying with in San Jose.
How are you feeling right now? "I'll be back, I just need to go to the bathroom.
And that's goodbye from us. Oh, maybe not. Our flight just got delayed 50 minutes. The QF lounge is new but it's reassuring that air travel remains the same. Until LA, au revoir!
