Sienna says: We got on the plane today. It took 14 hours and I'm missing all my friends. But I will come back soon. On the plane, I played games, watched videos, solved some mazes [and slept on my parents for six hours]. We are staying at a hotel in Hollywood which is fantastic - you can run around crazy like Eloise! Dad and I went swimming this afternoon and we had the hotel pool to ourselves. Then we walked up to Universal CityWalk for dinner. I had a pepperoni pizza. I also got a Wonka Bar with Graham Crackers in it. I get a free movie tonight so I'm going to watch Ratatouille. I'm not sleepy.
Derek says: Parents survived the flight. It wasn't too bad except for a stroppy QF attendant yelling at the bovines towards the end. We got only a couple of hours sleep so we are exhausted, waiting for the jet lag to kick in. We're spending a couple of days at Universal Studios and our hotel is a few minutes walk away. It's strange not having a car in LA. Parents are sleepy.
The highlight of the evening was a Halloween Shop containing, amongst other things, a range of latex wounds such as cut throats that can be stuck to bodies. We thought we wouldn't share that one with you. However, there was also a shop that claims to have more Pez dispensers for sale that any place on the planet. Now that's devotion to the consumption of sugar. See photos below!
